Who We Are

Gaspar Bergman and Zack Taylor started Bergman Taylor in 2020 following a cumulative 35 years working across the diplomatic, development and political realms of the United Nations and other multilateral organizations. The pair started Bergman Taylor out of a recognition that traditional organizations were struggling to live up to the challenges of the twenty-first century, and a drive to facilitate positive change through agility, innovation and partnership.

Zack Taylor

Zack Taylor spent a decade working on conflict, mediation and political processes across the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia. He spent a further seven years holding senior United Nations management positions with assignments in Turkey and Ukraine, where he led implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UN reform. His work outside the UN includes supporting the EU’s efforts in integrated border management in the Balkans and East Africa, and support to the United States’ work in global electoral participation. Zack has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA, and a postgraduate degree in Security and Integration Studies from University College London.

Christian Franzelin

Christian hails from a corporate background with more than twenty years of executive experience with multi-national companies. He has managed large-scale projects for a wide range of blue-chip clients and is highly skilled in understanding and developing new markets. Christian has worked in very challenging and politically sensitive locations in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, often in front-line asset roles.

He currently resides in Vienna, Austria, from where he supports our clients with the analysis of complex political, economic, development and security-related issues, and the development of recommendations and tangible strategies with attendant budgets, organizational structures and timelines.

Christian holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the University of London/London School of Economics and a Master of Arts in Global Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
